Enlisting NS

Hey guys! This will probably be the last time I'll be posting here. After this post I'll be starting a new blog to hold the memories of the next chapter of my life.
Yup! I'll be enlisting into the NS today and in a few hours time I'll be 'botak" Hahas! Still not sure how I'd feel having no hair but hope I do look better huh! Hahas.
My new blog url will be http://awholenewlifee.blogspot.com/.
2011 has sure been an eventful year with lots of posts. 142 posts! So far, the number of posts has been increasing from year to year so you guys can certainly expect more posts on my next blog!

Almost alright!

Woke up this morning and saw that the wounds on my knees have also begun to peel slightly. Well, at least I am better able to bend my legs now. Hmm... that's an improvement, though slight. I've also removed the bandage over my wrist last night. It still hurts though, but is better than before. For now, I still can't do anything strenous with my left hand but it sure does feel much better with the bandage removed. Still, my left hand doesn't feel quite right still, hahas. Feels kind of slimy due to not having been washed since about a week ago. The slightly red and purplish marks on the hand and wrist also make it look unrecognisable. The muscles feel really tight as well. Guess it should be better in a couple of days. Phew! It sure feels much more comfortable with all the bandages and what not gone. Hopefully my wrist will get better in due course, enlisting in NS tomorrow. Lols! Will be needing my left hand hahas!
Hope all the remaining wounds peel off by tomorrow and I'll be ready for enlistment. Needa wear long pants tomorrow, probably jeans.

Face healed

Okay so the wound on my face started peeling just this morning after I woke up and now it's completely healed. So thankfully, my face looks alright now, save for the patch on my face that is still a lighter colour than the rest of my face. Lols, wouldn't wanna go into NS and  be meeting all my new friends with a black patch covering the left side of my face. Hahas. Bad first impression... lols! Yup, so at least that's one less thing to worry about. I will then be able to wash my face hahas. Been really oily... arghh!

All that I wanted... Or NOT!

Well, I sat down and looked at my injuries these last couple of days and kind of realised that 've got what I want. Or not?
Well, you see, the thing is prior to this, I've been wondering alot when was the last time I had fallen down  and when was the last time I had gotten an abrasion. Frankly, that was a long time ago already. I don't even remember it. Thing is, I've been pretty stable on bikes and skates for a long time already. So, I've been wondering how it feels to get "wounded" again actually. Hahas, stupid thoughts that fill my head when there's nothing to think about... Haiz.
Also, I've always wondered how some people get their arms in a sling so easily just by playing sports. Hahas, sad to say, I've got my answer now. Turns out that the hand/ arm comes out instinctively to break one's fall. Lolz...
So looking at myself now, I've certainly got what I wanted. Just that the magnitude and severity of it is about 100 times more. For one it happened right at the end of the year causing me to miss countdown. Secondly, it happened at the start of another new year resulting in me not being able to enjoy the start of 2012 with everyone else.
Moreover, this accident did not only result in a slight abrasion. Three of my four limbs have sustained injuries thus making movement quite difficult for me. My face has also somewhat been damaged.
Most importantly, this came at a time when I had lots of plans for working out and going for outdoor activities. Thus, now I am not able to do any of those stuff that i had planned despite the really wonderful weather that had miraculously materialised after 31st Dec 2011, the day I had the accident.
Such fine weather with clear skies and bright sunlight with the occasional light breeze and I'm missing it all.
In conclusion, weighing the case on a weighing balance, this is certainly NOT what I wanted!
Sianz ttm... seriously!

No more BBQs

Just received news that both the BBQ gatherings that I'll be having this week are cancelled. Lols, I guess it's probably due to too low attendance. Haiz, been really looking forwards to these two gatherings for want of something to do. Man, now I'm stuck at home with a fractured wrist and legs which still hurt. Haiz... can't do much outdoors anyways due to my current condition. Can't even play the piano or do much else indoors as well. Man... I'm bored! Been rotting in front of my laptop for weeks.

The ONE 'BEEP'!

Got home by MRT today from AMK Hub. Reached JE MRT and decided to take a bus back to my house as it was still kinda troublesome to walk. So for the first time I walked to the newly constructed bus interchange at JE and got on a 105 bus. I took out my wallet and tapped... 'BEEP'! Once. Only once!
Oh ya! It's 3rd Jan already! No more student rates for me for public transport. OMG! So long since I last took public transport. Man... it's gonna be expensive!

L wrist X ray

Went for an X-ray of my left wrist early this morning at an AMK clinic as instructed by the chinese physician. Was done really quickly with little waiting and after that proceeded back to the chinese physician to get the X-ray checked. Turns out that there really is a hairline fracture due to my fall but it was not really serious. Then the physician mentioned something about a blod clot and used a needle to poke all over my left wrist before using a machine to suck out the blood from my wrist lols. At least that is what I think the machine did cause the physician kept stopping and wiping off something wet from my wrist. Lol... think that reduced the blood clot at my wrist. Got my left wrist bandaged up once again after that and was told to return for yet another visit on Thursday after we get the report for the X-ray. The left wrist hurts less now though, so I guess it's on the mend? Hope so!

Buddies meet- up

Just got back from the scheduled meet- up session with some of my future NS buddies this morning. It went quite well I would say. They really are a friendly and cheerful group of guys, haha! And very caring too. Well, we didn't do much. We met up at the control station at AMK MRT station. Thankfully, I was not too late and they had just met up when I arrived. We then went to AMK Hub food court for a meal and some chit- chat. After that, we went to Toast Box to sit down for a chat again as there wasn't really much to shop around there. Turns out that not all of us will be reporting at the same time at 9am. Well, at least it's the same camp and we'll still get to meet each other quite often I guess.
I also brought up the idea of renting an apartment near Yew Tee area seeing as most of them live quite far from Yew Tee. Hmm.. they seemed quite agreeable to the idea. Hopefully that falls through and we do manage to find a cheap apartment hahas. That'll be really fun!
