08/02 - Well, finally been sorted into classes and we got to know our MGs. I am in 10S13 but none of the other Kranjians got into the same class as me. Of course, that will mean that our OGLs are different as well. They are Jia Hui, Young bin( he's a very cute and funny korean guy, lols). However, as 10S13 is still part of Babylon, I still get to see Samuel, Kah Sheng and Hui Ying often.
First thing after assembly we went to our class to meet up with our CT( Civics Tutor), Ms Chan. We then handled some admin matters such as filling in forms, giving our HP nos. and email adds. to the CT and getting to know the CT. Then, we were off to play some class bonding games. Oh yeah, I also realised that 10S13 has more girls than guys, much to my surprise. Having been with 4D'09 for the last two years, this sure is quite a change. Like there were only 26 peeple in the class and only 6 guys!!? Still, luckily there were not 40 people in the class and only 6 guys. Yeah, so our class is dominated by girls. Well John and the others were luckier. Most of them got into classes with other Kranjians or even getting into the same class.
Kk shall end off here, wait for news of tmr!

Day 7 at PJC
05/02 - Hmm... can't really rmb what i did in the morning that day. However, went for the second ODAC trials in the afternoon after school. Of course, I was really looking forward to the trials and quite ready to give in my best for whatever they were going to have us do. Heard that the trials for that day would not be as fun as on Wednesday so I had my mind prepared for some tough physical training. However, what was in store was nothing like I expected.
Firstly, were told to do some simple activities like push ups, "invisible chair", " aeroplane" and crunches. I completed all successfully and without much trouble. I thought that was all but there were more. Then we were brought to another station where we had to hold up a conteen bench with our arms at 90 degrees for a certain period of time before a short break and then continuing with a longer time period. Like 30s, then 1min and then 2mins... After the activities before, I felt my muscles aching for this activity and my legs kept shaking. With some help from the seniors, I again managed to pass this round. We moved on to the running tracks after that for some running. After a few rounds, dun noe when, a teacher came over and made us do push ups whenever we were not together when we were running. This happened a couple of times until my arms were totally weak. After that we were to move on to the field where we were told to lie in cruches position and then in "Superman" position. We learnt that he was the Tic of ODAC. He then told us about how ODAC was not as fun as we thought, that the seniors climbed stairs as training and how they were constantly scolded by him... As 6.30 drew nearer, I decided to leave. ODAC was just not my idea of a CCA, what with the stress of JC life and ODAC instead of letting us releif that stress, adds on to it. Zzz... So then I turned to JY beside me and asked if he wanted to leave. He didn't give me a direct reponse though and so I just upped myself, got my bag and left. You Kang left as well.
Despite feeling weak and aches all over my body, I felt it was a good experience. It was an insight into how the Sports CCAs train during practices. As I was very warmed up from all the physical activities, I decided to walk all the way back to CCK Mrt station.
Later, John told me that what the Tic did was just for show only, that ODAC was quite fun and the Tic friendly. Hais... whatever it is, this still feels quite stressful for me. Going to consider joining Alchemist club though, since I got rejected by all the sports CCAs that I signed up for.

Day 6 at PJC
04/02 - Another outdoor activity for us today. We were to do some CIP today in the neighbourhood around PJC. We had to go door to door to collect unwanted recycleables from the residents in the Choa Chu Kang area. We were given a few blocks to cover for each MG and I was really excited at the idea of going around to ask for recycleables. However, MG01 was appointed to be a collection point IC lols. As such, we found ourselves hanging out at Block 203 during the CIP waiting for the other MGs to collect stuff for us to sort out. Well, it was exactly as slack as it sounds. We ended up playing games to kill time and even when stuff was brought down to us, sorting was quite a simple task and we just had to stack the newspapers tgt in a pile and place the bags of clothes and other electrical appliances in another pile. We then got bored of playing games after a while and went on to doing LAME stuffz lyk cheering for those who brought stuff down. Lols, we were making such a din that I was afraid that the residents around might get irritated. Luckily enough, that was not the case.
As there were many ppl doing the collection and there weren't much to collect, we were soon done with the collection. In fact, I am quite sure we were the first group to finish the job, despite being really slack actually. Hahas. However, we ended up being one of the last to return back to school though. This was totally due to the collection vehicle being delayed due to an overwhelming amount of recycleables from the other collection points and haivng to make extra trips back to school. Therefore, we found ourselves at a lost of what to do to kill time while waiting. Some of us started reading the newspapers we had collected and chatting to each other, taking the time to bond. We sat on the piles of newspapers lols. As it started to get really hot, we then moved into the void deck and started playing games again. We even went to the provision shop nearby to buy instant noodles for our lunch as we could not go too far to get food for lunch. In the end, the vehicle finally came at around 2+ I think and we returned to school. Ours was like the least collected as compared to others.
After we were dismissed from school, we went out for an MG outing again. This time we went downtown by bus to Cathay for a movie. We watched ToothFairy this time. We then went to PastaMania for dinner and hung out at Orchard area, chatting till about 9+ before I left. Some of the others were still there though. All in all, it was a really fun trip.

Day 5 at PJC
03/02 - Went for an MG( Matriculation Group) outing today. We had about 4 hours for us to spend time together. Well, my MG actually decided to go to Cdans for bowling. However, due to safety reasons, we were restricted to only a few venues for the outing. So we went to Choa Chu Kang Park and with a few other MGs, had lots of fun there. We played Captain's Ball, Dog and Bone, Ultimate Frisbee thoughout the few hours we were there. At about 1pm, we headed down to Lot 1 to get our lunch. In the end, we settled for Mac and packed it up to bring it back to school to finish up. However, we were early and so ate at Mac instead. After that, we then headed back to school.

Day 4 at PJC
02/02 - The day started off again with endless talks. Zzz... It's getting kinda sick and boring already as we start off each day after assembly with numerous talks from the teachers. These talks can carry on one after the other for hours and then ppl will start going off to the washrooms by themselves. Lols. The teacher finally spoke up about this today, telling us not to go to washrooms when someone is speaking. That's going to be a big problem.
Anyways, after all the talks had a break at about 9am and I went to buy my pants. Bought it with John and have yet to pay him. Queues for the uniform were really long and spent the whole hour queuing for the uniform. Had a little bit of time to grab some sandwiches before heading back to the hall. Oh yeah, we also checked our subject combinations during the time we were queuing and both of us got our first choices. So,that means I'll be taking Chem, Econs and Maths at the H2 level and Physics at the H1 level, different from most others though.
Went back to the hall after break for some MG time I think. Learnt another song as well, Chapter Next. Was quite a nice song and Eugene, one of the OGLs played the guitar. However, the verses were still kinda difficult to catch and only managed to get the chorus.
We were dismissed at about 1pm and I went for lunch b4 heading down to choir trials which I have signed up for. Found out that Wei Zhi also got "called" to go for the trials and so both of us made our way to the PW room punctually at 2pm. The choir group weren't ready for us yet though and we had to wait for about half an hour before we were called in. The trials were not too difficult but somehow my voice didn't sound right. Needed some prompting from the members there. After about 5 minutes, it was done. Waited a little while for Wei Zhi and then we set off home together. We were told that we would get an SMS tonight telling us if we passed. Well, we both passed the trials of course.
We will be having an MG outing tmr and my MG has decided to go to Cdans for bowling. Yeahs!

Day 3 at PJC
01/02 - Another day in PJC, and it was just as eventful, if not more eventful. Had to hand in our Subject Combinations Form today and also the $70 for the Orientation Package.
Went earlier this morning so as to get to school early to have a talk with the Mother Tougue HOD, Mrs Chua, about the H1 Mother Tougue. However, although I got to school at 7.11am, I only managed to see her after assembly. So it was like this, she got to PJC only at about 7.30am and after that was very busy answering calls and attending to other stuff. So Mrs Tan, the principal, then told me to go back down to the General Office after assembly when Mrs Chua will probably be free, as it was already time for assembly. However, when I got back down to the GO after assembly, Mrs Chua was still not available and some teachers had to go look for her. Anyways, it turned out that many students were looking for her and she had positioned herself in the hall to answer all their queries. In the end, I had to wait in a long queue to meet her despite being early. Zzz...
After assembly today, Mr Koh, a teacher from the Discipline Committee, came to speak to us about some discipline stuff. Then several other teachers came up to tell us about other stuffs like NYAA, leadership, YOG... all the way till 10am. Oh yeah, the PJC choir also came up to give a small performance as well. Shan't make any comments. We then went for a break and after which the Student Council President, Adam, and Vice-President, Demus, came up to encourage us to consider joining the Student Council as a CCA. We were then realeased at 12noon to go view the CCA booths set up to give us more information on the various CCAs in the school.
Hahas, as all the CCAs all looked really interesting, I signed up for 1. Badminton 2. Cuesports 3. ODAC( Outdoor Activities Club) 4. Choir and 5. Astronomy Club. Didn't sign up for Bowling trials as the timing clashes with the ODAC and badminton trials. Furthermore, Bowling is conducted in CDANS Bukit Batok. LOLS.
Oh yeahs, I also started buying my PJ uniform today. However, the pants were out of stock so I only bought the shirt, two shirts, costing $25.60. Will be buying pants tmr and PE T- shirts as well.
Left at about 2+ today with John to hurry home for piano lessons.
Trials-
ODAC - 3rd and 5th of Feb, 2.30 - 4.30, Outside ODAC room, PE Attire
Badminton - Wed, 2.30 onwards, Hall
Cuesports - Wed, 12.45pm onwards, Sacntuary
Choir - Tues, 2.00pm, PW room

College Anthem
Yeah thought I'd post the College Anthem here. Here it goes...
Verse I
Here I stand
The dawning of a brand new day
As I look to the way ahead
In my heart burns the fire of learning
And it shines everywhere I go
Never fading and ever yearning
While I live, I learn and grow.
Chorus:
I will seek and explore
Open each and every door
Always caring and faithful and true
To be a guiding light
Set the future shining bright
For my college and for nation too
I am a true pioneer
Crossing every new frontier
With conviction I take every turn
This passion I will hold
So that everyone may know
I believe: While I live, I learn.
Verse 2
Here we stand
Together on this special day
Pioneers who will lead the way
All our hearts share the spirit of exploring
In our lives we will always show
How we’ve set our sights on soaring
While we live, we learn and grow.
Chorus:
And we’ll seek and explore
Open each and every door
Always caring and faithful and true
To be a guiding light
Set the future shining bright
For our college and for nation too
Yes, we are true pioneers
Crossing all the new frontiers
With conviction we take every turn
This passion we will hold
So that everyone may know
We believe: While we live, we learn.
Kinda long eh?

2nd Day At PJC
29/01 - Clearer about how to get to PJC, I started out from home at the same time as the day before. I got to school well ahead of time at 7.20, though I was supposed to be in school at 7.40.
Ytd was different from the day before. We learnt some of the college's songs and cheers and immediately got into it after morning assembly. We were given cheer sheets and learnt the " Pump it up" and "Awesome" cheers first before learning the college's anthem(school song). The song was really very long with two verses and chorus. Despite having the JC2s sing the song to us a couple of times, I still could not really get it. Hahas, probably can't learn the song because there's no score lols. Furthermore, I felt the tune of the song was also not really straightforward. Looks like I've to take some time over the weekend to learn the song as we've to sing it at assembly on Monday. Luckily we only have to sing the first verse of the song with the chorus for assembly as the second verse is only used for formal events. Rofl, otherwise it will definitely be a chore as there will be two sets of lyrics to memorise.
After that came the College's dances. The JC2s demonstrated the three College Dances to us before we started learning the Mass Dance. The Mass Dance was again very long and complicated, much more difficult than Kranji's Mass Dance. Hahas, but of course, this is JC, what did I expect? The most difficult was the couple parts where I had to pair up with a girl, Geraldine. We kept getting the steps wrong and in the end had to get lots of help from the OGL's. However, we still had problems.
The day ended at 2+ and I set off for introductory lectures again. I went for Chemistry first at 3 after a rest and then Geography. Looks like I'm gonna consider taking Geography over Econs. I finished off at 4.30 and slacked at the canteen with Wei Zhi and Zhao Wei. Wow, was really surprised to see that the stalls in the canteen were all still open. The food in Kranji were usually all sold out by 2. After about an hour and a half, at about 6pm, we went out to the concourse to "kop"the refreshments there. Rather, only I went to "kop" the food as I was famished after all the vigourous dances and cheers done thoughout the day and I didn't get food from the canteen all the time I was slacking there. A little while later, John arrived and all the others' parents also arrived, with the exception of mine. At 7pm, I made my way up to LT3 and the Parent's Conference began. My parents arrived a little later.
The conference was sure a fruitful one, mostly during the Q n A session where parents raised all kinds of doubts and queries and the HODs answered them all. All the way till about 9.30! The principal, Mrs Tan, then called for a stop due to the overwhelming number of questions. We left after that.
Finally, a few things that I am going to note down here to remind myself of them for the next few weeks .
- I need to hand in my subject combinations form on Monday
- I need to hand in $70 for the Orientation package on Monday(which includes an umbrella, I dun noe why)
- Sales of uniform will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- I need to purchase Graphics calculator next Monday(08/01)
Think that's about it. Shall end off here. Bye.
