Racial Harmony Day in PJC

Yup, celebrated Racial Harmony Day in school today. Lols… got called back to school just for that. Sianz!! We weren’t even doing much in school that day anyways. The only perk I felt though, was that we were allowed to wear home clothes to school today, provided that it was smart casual. Heard that that was the school’s attempt to try to bring back the practice of allowing students to wear home clothes to school on normal school days. Heard that that was the case in the past but it was abolished due to ppl starting to appear in all sorts of clothing.
Anyways, like I said, didn’t do much in school. Mainly just had some sort of ballroom dancing lesson probably to prepare us for the graduation prom night… lols! Man!! It was hilarious! Basically the girls were slightly more interested than the guys. Which is expected of course. Hahas, but only slightly. Well, this was what happened.
Stage 1- The start of the dance. Mostly everyone was dancing and trying to keep up with the steps that were being taught. Well,I joined in too, just like everyone else. There were some who were not participating at all though. So they just sat around on the floor of the hall.
Stage 2 - After that, the guys were told to pair up with the girls. This was when a quarter of those who were participating actively went to sit down. Some of the more “enthu” guys held on though.Rofl… but they partnered with guys, not girls. Hahas!! I then went to join my class’ guys in sitting down at the back of the hall as they too were not interested in dancing. So there we stayed with a clear view of observing the others dance.
Stage 3 – This was when it was instructed to move from the “open stance”( or wadeva it was called) to the “closed stance” where the guys had to hold the girls’ waist and pull them closer. Naturally, another portion of the “dancers” disappeared, about another quarter. So there was only just about a quarter of the cohort left dancing from what I could see. Really hilarious! Lolol! After that… we were dismissed!! So much for dressing up! We just sat around in the school hall.
