Road Run 2011

Had annual road run again today -- Road Run 2011. Well, as usual I was not really ready for it. By that I mean that didn't really train very much for it so stamina wasn't really there for me to complete the distance in a short timing. Partly due to lack of time due to long school hours and the need for much revision and completion of work, and partly due to laziness (just can't get myself in the mood to go for a jog). As a result, was not really hoping to get any medals or trophies lah, actually can't lah, hahas! Actually hoping to get into at least top 100 and hopefully get a "limited- edition- collar pin". Hahas, but when the race started, I know that it wasn't even possible... lols! Couldn't even see the first person.. I was way, way behind...
All these was despite the fact that JC2 guys were the first to start the run off. This time though, I tried to make Chee Koon move a little further up ahead at the start of the run. Then I didn't run with him, headed off first on my own... still thinking that I could outrun those in front of me.
Lols... fat hope lah! Had to stop few times along the way. Met a couple of friends too. Ppl like Guan Quan, John...
Towards the finishing line, I met Hong Xing too. Then I raced him back to the finishing line. I won! Guess that was coz he didn't realise that I had surpassed him. Checked my stopwatch when I passed the finishing line... whoa!! almost 30 mins for a 4.8km run! Kinda slow eh, lols... there were better timings.
Waited for Chee Koon at the finishing line. He came in about 5 mins after I did. He was running though. Headed for the canteen after that and sat down. Was really out of breath man! Must have been the last spurt of speed at the end of the run with Hong Xing, hahas. But was a good run man.. gave me what I wanted. Always looking forwards to the last few metres to race someone back to the finishing line.
Well so there goes my last road run and any chance of getting a trophy for a road run. Well maybe in NS there are medals given out to guys who run fast, then I may get another chance to get myself a medal... hahas.
After that met up with Jordan and learnt from him that neither him nor Alan made it into the top twenty. Results came out and the top JC2 guy runner for the race completed the race in 15 mins!! Man... half my timing that was. Wonder how he did it.
